Protecting your privacy is extremely important to The Credit Guru. We strive to keep your personal information confidential. By ensuring that you are aware of and understand The Credit Guru Client Privacy Policy, we can provide you with better service. Please take a moment to read the following policy to learn how we handle your personal information.

Why we collect personal information

We collect personal information to enroll you in our service. The information we require is the absolute minimum necessary. The Credit Guru uses your personal information to provide you with superior customer service, and to communicate with you regarding your case. In addition, we use your personal information to keep you up to date on the latest service announcements, feature updates, special offers, and other information we think you would like to hear about.

How we collect personal information

We collect information about you at the time you sign up for our service, and any time we enter information from your credit report into our database. In addition, when you sign up for The Credit Guru service, or ask to be included in an email mailing list, we collect and store the information you provide. All client information which is stored is kept in a secure offline database.

When we disclose personal information

Because the ability to communicate with our clients during any part of the credit recovery process is absolutely essential, your personal information may be shared with each employee and staff member of The Credit Guru. The Credit Guru staff will protect your personal information in accordance with The Credit Guru Customer Privacy Policy. The Credit Guru will not share your personal contact information with a third party unless you specify otherwise with the exception of the three major reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax and Transunion) since it is necessary for identification information to be shared with these companies in order for them to process the dispute requests we send on your behalf.

Your address information may also be provided to shipping agencies so that they may deliver correspondence from us to you and from us to the credit bureaus on your behalf. At your request, we may also send written correspondence on your behalf to a third party which will only include the personal information you authorize us to use at that time.

How we protect your personal information

The Credit Guru safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.
